These are the questions most frequently asked by Open Pilots candidates. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, please contact us here and we'll be in touch.
- What is an Open Pilot?
An Open Pilot is your opportunity to cybertrain your staff for free on the CYBERWISER.eu Capacity Building Cyber Range Platform.
- Why should I create my own Open Pilot?
The benefit of creating your own Open Pilot are:
- Train your staff for free;
- Cybertraining fully customised to meet your cybersecurity needs;
- Get access to one of the most advanced Cyber Range platform in the world;
- What does it cost to participate in an Open Pilot?
Both your attendance at one of our one-day introductory workshops and access to the online training platform via an Open Pilot are free. The costs are covered by the EC grant CYBERWISER.eu has earned for itself under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, Grant Agreement no. 786668).
- What is the duration of an Open Pilot?
The duration of your Training Pilot will be determined by the customised specifications we agree on. An introductory workshop is the ideal place for these discussions but you can also get the ball rolling by completing the application form here. The average length of an open Pilot is between 3 and 6 months.
- Who should take part in an Open Pilot?
While our training is directed primarily towards IT personnel who need to develop advanced skills in cybersecurity, training pathways have also been created for individuals from other, non-technical areas of an organisation.
- How many trainees can be accommodated in an Open Pilot?
An Open Pilot is typically optimised to serve classes of 5 to 50 trainees. However, given the flexibility of the CYBERWISER.eu platform, we'd be happy to make alternative arrangements if required.
- What does the training pathway consist of?
The CYBERWISER.eu platform is an advanced, modular system capable of offering customised training pathways for personnel with differing skill sets and cybersecurity competence targets. Each training pathway is the sequence of learning modules, validation tests, and teaching events that allow the trainee, if successful, to achieve their competence goals. The trainer is able to define the specific training pathway required by a trainee group and thereby customise the learning experience to their particular needs.
