The CyFrame is the host environment allowing flexible simulations to support the cyber range scenario.
It includes instances of virtual technologies with a library of virtual images and means (applications, network appliances and other equipment) of advanced ICT and ICS topologies and, similarly, images and means to orchestrate cyber-attack, defence and forensics tools.
Using the existing RHEA Group CyFrame as an example, the CYBERWISER.eu approach allows characterisation of scenarios, training opportunities and development of procedures in which both user environment operators and cyber defence operators can cooperate within the Cyber Range.
The host platform including the hardware, operating system, hypervisor, IaaS and PaaS layer tools are managed by a set of roles defined for management and control of the Cyber Range Virtual Data Centre and allocated virtual resources.
